Virat Kohli, on the 15th of February, postponed the RP SG Indian Sports Honours Event, which was scheduled on the 16th of February.
Virat Kohli, the Captain of the Indian Cricket Team, took to Twitter and announced the postponement of the event.
The RP-SG Indian Sports Honours has been postponed. At this heavy moment of loss that we all find ourselves in, we would like to cancel this event that was scheduled to take place tomorrow.

Kohli condemned the Pulwama terror attack and said, at this moment, when the whole Nation is mourning the death of the 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans, it is only befitting to postpone the event.
The event is a joint venture by Virat Kohli’s foundation, the Indian Sports Honour, and the RP Sanjiv Goenka Group (RP SG.) At the event, awards are given to athletes and individuals belonging to the field of sports.
The Public Relations (PR) team of Virat released a statement, which read, “The who’s who of entertainment and sports industry were supposed to be present for the award ceremony. Every partner and all the sport stars and delegates associated with this award have been informed and communicated with stating that hosting an event was unacceptable at this moment when India is mourning the death of its jawans.”
The event has been rescheduled, but the new date is yet to be decided.
The cricket fraternity, including players like Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag, took to Twitter and conveyed their condolences to the families of the jawans.
I’m shocked after hearing about the attack in Pulwama, heartfelt condolences to the martyred soldiers & prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured jawaans.
