The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is all set to hold their high profile meet, the Pragathi Nivedana Sabha. The meet will happen on the 2nd of September and expected to draw 25 lakh people to the venue. The TRS meet will be held at Kongarakalan village on the city’s outskirts.
TRS Floor Leader at the Lok Sabha A. P. Jithender Reddy stated this would be the first time a State Government will present its progress report without the pressure from opposition parties. Mr. Reddy was quoted as saying, “We on our own are coming out with the report card, which will be presented before 25 lakh people at the venue and crores of people will watch the meeting live on TV.”
The progress report will be presented by TRS Chief and Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. KCR will deliver a 2 hour long speech in which he was give details of the party’s contributions to the State.
The event will be held at a 1,600 acres land with transport facility and a stage to accommodate 500 delegates. Around 25 connecting roads were developed to reach the venue. The Kongarakalan road was also expanded from a two lane street to a four lane road.
IT Minister K. T. Rama Rao also visited the venue and insisted a special enclosure for the women cadres attending the meet. KTR also explained that all those reaching the venue earlier in the day will be served launch.
