Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao met former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren to discuss the Third Front, on Wednesday. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Leader visited Hyderabad and met CM KCR at Pragati Bhavan.
Mr. Soren was among the first people to call KCR after the Telangana leader announced the Third Front. The two politicians were reportedly discussing national politics.
Soren was quoted saying, “There is a need in the country for a coalition against the BJP and it is taking place. There are many political developments taking place in the country today, all of which are bringing different political parties onto a single platform against the BJP.”
This meeting was questioned as Soren met with Congress President Rahul Gandhi last week. Soren pledged Gandhi with his regional party’s support. However, KCR’s plan for a Third Front is to give the voters a choice other than Congress and BJP.
