Mohammad Hussamuddin, 28 year old boxer from Nizamabad, Telangana, won a gold medal at the National Boxing Championship, held in Hisar, Haryana.
The two time Commonwealth Games bronze medalist won a gold medal in 57 kg Category at the 6th Elite Men’s National Boxing Championships concluded on the 6th of January.
With this victory, Mohammad Hussamuddin has two golds and one silver, secured in his last three National Championships.
Hussamuddin won the game with a 4-1 scoreline against the 2016 World Youth champion Sachin of Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB) in the 57kg finals.
