Team India defeated West Indies by 2 wickets in the Second One Day International (ODI) at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain.
On the 24th of July, in the second ODI match, Team India chased a victory target of 312 runs, and scored 312 runs for 8 wickets in 49.4 overs. Whereas, team West Indies had scored 311 runs, with 6 wickets in 50 overs. Notably, West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first.
Meanwhile, highlighting the Indian squad’s performance, Axar Patel was unbeaten at 64 and was the top scorer, followed by Shreyas Iyer who made 63 runs.
With this, India is leading in three matches ODI series, with 2-0 score.
Moreover, the third and final ODI match would be played on Wednesday, the 27th of July, at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain.
After the ODI match, the teams would switch format but stay in Trinidad for the first T20 International at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba.
