The IPL auction finished this year and Irfan Pathan was left out unsold by the end of the day. In the recent past, Irfan has already faced a downward graph in his career. Irfan Pathan failed to manage a single bid for himself at the IPL Auctions for this season. The cricketer was shattered but proved that tough times need tough people and addressed his fans in a Facebook post. He expressed that he was optimistic about making a comeback on the International Cricket platform.

Irfan made a sensational debut in 2003-04 against Australia and soon became the face of Indian Cricket Team bowling attackers. The enigmatic swing bowling was soon accompanied by his batting which led him to open both bowling and batting for the team.

The career started a downward swirl after multiple injuries which were not enough to break him. The cricketer kept fighting and remained in competition for a comeback. The player has been out of International cricket for four years despite his constant good performance in matches. What the cricket pundits and fans didn’t expect was why a cricketer like Irfan Pathan was left unsold by the end of the auction. Irfan has an experience of 102 IPL matches, which would qualify him to earn the contract.

Well, not be let down, Yuvraj Singh and Ashish Nehra proved that all that is needed is a strong will and single match to make a comeback. Here is to hoping that Irfan will prove himself and make his fans proud of their hero again.
