A rare feat by an Indian cricketer. Thanks to his ever growing fan base, Indian Test Skipper Virat Kohli is now the most followed Indian cricketer on twitter. He recently took up to his twitter account to thank his fans for their love. Virat now has the twitter fandom number around 8 million.
The 26-year-old batsman, who recently enjoyed his first Test series win as captain after leading India to a 2-1 victory over Sri Lanka, saw his following on twitter grow to 8.01 million and the Delhi boy was quick to acknowledge the love of his fans.
“8 Million Followers! Absolutely Delighted. Thank You everyone for the immense love! #Grateful,” Kohli wrote on his twitter handle.
Interestingly cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar has 7.73 million fans following him on twitter while ODI skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has 4.52 million twitter followers.
