Virat Kohli, the Captain of the Indian Cricket Team, on the 29th of July, addressed a press conference with Ravi Shastri, the Coach of the Indian Cricket Team.

The conference was organised as a pre departure conference, as the Indian squad will leave for West Indies in two days to play the West Indies Tour 2019.

During the conference, the media asked Kohli about the conflicts between him and Rohit Sharma, the Vice Captain of the Indian Cricket Team.

Kohli clarified and said the rumours are rubbish. In this regard, he stated, “In my opinion, it’s baffling and ridiculous to read such stuff. Public talks about how well we’ve played, and here we’re feeding lies and talking about negative things. And I’ve seen this being brought up for far too long now. It’s bizarre how people are creating these things. You enter the dressing room and witness for yourself the kind of healthy atmosphere that’s there. The lies are made to look believable (sic.)”

Kohli further added, “We are living and breathing in getting Team India to the top, and here some people are doing there best to bring us down. The friendship and camaraderie are there for everyone to see.”

Kohli also said Rohit Sharma is a good player and he will continue to praise Sharma every time he plays well. Kohli added if he does not like someone, it would show on his face.

When asked about whether Ravi Shastri will continue as the Coach of the Team, Virat said he does not know about the change and said the Cricket Advisory Committee will decide about the matter.

The Indian Cricket Team is going to play the West Indies Tour 2019 and after that, the Team is also expected to play the T20 International World Cup in 2020.

Apart from this, the Indian Cricket Team is also going to be a part of the Test championships which will start soon.

The West Indies Tour will begin from the 3rd of August.

Stay tuned for further updates.
