On the 23rd of June, India and New Zealand cricket team are playing the final match of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2021.

Due to bad weather and rainfall, the 5 days test match, which was scheduled to end on the 22nd of June, was extended to the 23rd of June.

With this, the World Test Championship (WTC) finals would witness an exciting finishing battle between the Indian and New Zealand cricket team.

The final day match started at 3:00 P.M., (Indian Standard Time) and 10:30 A.M., (British Standard Time,) in Southampton, England, the United Kingdom (U.K.)

In the first innings of 92.1 overs, the Indian team scored 217 runs and the New Zealand team scored 249 runs.

Most of the match has been lost to rain and that has been a huge disappointment for fans but the bowling units of either team have kept the match alive..

The match is being held at the Rose Bowl Cricket Ground, Southampton, England. 

As per the coreboard, India is just 53 runs ahead with 6 wickets in hand. In today’s 2nd innings, India lost the toss and got batting as New Zealand decided to bowl first. As of now, 3:56 P.M., team India scored 85 runs in 4 wickets after 41.4overs. Rohit Sharma started batting and was out after 26.5 overs with 33 runs, followed by Shubman Gill who scored 8 runs in 10.4 overs. Now on the field are Cheteshwar Pujara and Indian Cricket Team Captain Virat Kohli.

Yet to bat from Indian team: Ajinkya Rahane, Jaspreet Bumrah,Rishabh Pant (wicket keeper,) Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma.

Meanwhile, in bowling New Zealand team has T. Southee, T. Boult, K. Jamieson and N. Wagner.

The playing XI of Indian Cricket Team includes Virat Kohli (Captain,) Rohit Sharma, Shubhman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant, R. Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah. The Indian team management has gone with five bowlers, including Ravindra Jadeja as an all rounder.

On the other hand, team New Zealand have Kane Williamson (Captain,) Devon Conway, Tom Latham, Ross Taylor, Henry Nicholls, BJ Watling, Colin de Grandhomme, Kyle Jamieson, Tim Southee, Trent Boult, Neil Wagner and Ajaz Patel for playing XI.
