Tata Consultancy Services can be considered the leading software services exporter from India. This year the company is upping its game and is increasing the local hiring in the United States and has not made any plans to cut out on investments. They have been experiencing a heavy growth from the overseas market which led to this decision.

Girish Ramachandran, the head of Asia-Pacific region for TCS, speaking to the Reuters said, “In the last four or five years, we have been recruiting heavily in the US.” He also added, “We are planning to increase the number of recruitment (sic) we have in these markets.” US is the 50 percent revenue earner for TCS and this decision is as the consumption of IT services in the country is very high. Regarding this, Ramachandran said, “The US is the largest market and we expect that to continue to be the largest market.”

After Donald Trump became the President, the expected reforms in H1B visas have created inconsistency in the hiring process of the $150 billion Information Technology sector of India. The Indian companies in the US use the H1B visas to fly developers and engineers from India so as to provide service to their clients. This hiring has been increased so as to reduce any problems because of immigration or visa rule changes.
