Mr. Arun Pillai, one of the accused in the Delhi Liquor scam, has filed a plea with the Delhi court to retract his statement given to the Enforcement Directorate (ED.)
According to the sources, the Delhi court has issued a notice to the ED in response to Pillai’s plea. Mr. Arun Pillai alleged that his statement was given under pressure.
The ED has stated that Arun Pillai is a close associate of BRS leader Kavitha and represented the “South Group” in the Delhi Liquor scam.
Notably, the development came after the ED issued notice to Ms. K. Kavitha, in connection with the Delhi Liquor Scam.
It is to be noted, on the 8th of March, the ED issued a summon to Ms. K. Kavitha, the daughter of Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana. The Central agency asked Ms. K. Kavitha, a prime accused representing the ‘south central’ to appear before the agency for interrogation in connection with the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam.
After the issued notice, Ms. K. Kavitha said, “As a law-abiding citizen, I will fully cooperate with the investigation agencies. However, due to the Dharna and prefixed appointments, I’ll seek legal opinions on the date of attending it.”
Now, Ms. K. Kavitha would appear before the ED on the 11th of March.
