The All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi commented on the ongoing Taliban-Afghanistan matter.

During an event on the 19th of August, Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi said the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan is going to benefit Pakistan, as Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) controls the Taliban terrorist outfit. He said, “Pakistan has gained the most from the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan. Experts are saying that Al Qaeda and Daesh have reached some areas in Afghanistan. Jaish-e-Muhammad, which indulges in the acts of terrorism including the attack on Parliament, they are now in Afghanistan’s Helmand. One must remember that ISI controls the Taliban. ISI is an enemy of India, and uses the Taliban as a puppet.”

Adding to it, Asaduddin Owaisi said, besides Pakistan, China is another country which is going to be benefited with the recent exchange of power from the Afghanistan Government to the Taliban Council.

Highlighting the same, the AIMIM Chief criticised the Central Government and compared the situation in Afghanistan and the situation of Muslims in India. He said, “As per a report, one out of nine female children dies before the age of five years in India. There are atrocities and crimes against women here. But, they (Centre) are worried about what is happening to women in Afghanistan. Isn’t it happening here as well? (sic.)”

Adding to the criticism, Asaduddin Owaisi said, Indian Government should have opened dialogue between Taliban and India, ahead of the take over. He said, “Now that Afghanistan is in complete control of the Taliban, we have no communication, no dialogue with them. All international and security experts have said talks should have been done. But, for the last seven years the Central Government has failed to read what is happening.”

This is the first time Asaduddin Owaisi commented on the Taliban take over situation in Afghanistan. .Recently, the Taliban forcefully took over Afghanistan and its Capital Kabul. Many Afghans were killed and violence broke out in the region of Kabul. Many women, families and children fled the nation to save themselves. Many are taking shelter at refugee camps. The Indian Government is also continuing the rescue operation and are operating flights to bring back stranded Indian citizens in Kabul, Afghanistan.
