On the 31st of August, Mr. Eatala Rajender participated in a public meeting in Kapulapalli village in Jammikunta mandal. During the public meeting, he openly challenged the TRS President Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao and the Telangana Finance Minister T. Harish Rao to win the by poll against him. He also said, if the TRS wins the Huzurabad by election, he would leave politics.
The war of words intensified with the constant digging and criticism between the TRS and the BJP. Mr. Eatala Rajender criticises the TRS Government and Telangana Chief Minister KCR, similarly Mr. T. Harish Rao and Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao attacks Mr. Eatala Rajender verbally during public rallies and meetings.
On the 31st of August, Mr. Rajender not only criticised the TRS Government, but highlighted his relation with the Party and his services to the Party in the past. He said, when he was the minister under the TRS Government, he made sure to work for the development of the Huzurabad Assembly constituency.
In addition, the BJP leader recalled his friendship with the Telangana Finance Minister Mr. T. Harish Rao, who now is speaking against him. He added that both T. Harish Rao and himself took several issues to KCR and discussed, which was later ignored by the Chief Minister. He also expressed disappointment in the recent statements released by the TRS against Mr. Eatala Rajender. He said KCR sacked him from the Party and the ministry post because of jealousy.
The BJP leader concluded the public meeting, urging people to vote for the BJP and promised to work for the growth and development of the constituency. He said, “I am your son. I will fight for the right cause, please bless me.”
It is to be noted, the Huzurabad MLA seat fell vacant after the former MLA of Huzurabad Eatala Rajender resigned. After being moved from the Health Minister post, Eatala Rajender quit the TRS and resigned as the Huzurabad MLA. He also joined the opposition BJP and is now going to fight against the TRS. With this, the fight for the Assembly seat intensified with the constant efforts of all the parties fighting for the one Assembly seat. Although the Indian National Congress (INC) is in the fray, the rough fight is expected to be between the TRS and the BJP.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) is likely to announce the official notification regarding the conduct of the Huzurabad Assembly election sometime soon.
