Nayini Narasimha Reddy, the Former Home Minister of Telangana, passed away on the 22nd of October. 

Nayini Narasimha Reddy, 86 years old, was undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad and took his last breathe at 12:25 A.M., on the 22nd of October.

According to sources, Nayini Narasimha Reddy was diagnosed with the Novel Coronavirus or  COVID-19 on the 28th of September and was undergoing treatment for the same. 

Though he recovered from the COVID-19 recently, his condition deteriorated with Post COVID-19 ailment, a lung infection.

A statement regarding the same was released by Apollo Hospital.  The statement read, “Shri Nayini Narsimha Reddy passed away at 12.25 am. He was admitted a week ago for post Covid complications with extensive lung damage.”

Nayini Narasimha Reddy started his career as labour union leader in VST industries. 

Later, in 1960s Mr. Reddy took part in active politics and migrated to Hyderabad. 

He actively took part in the Telangana movement in 1969.   He was also elected from the Musheerabad constituency and won thrice.

In 2001, Nayini Narasimha Reddy joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) when it was formed and became one of the important leaders in the Party.

Nayini Narasimha Reddy is also the first Home Minister of the newly formed State Telangana in 2014.  He was the Home Minister of Telangana from 2014 to 2018.

Nayini Narasimha Reddy is survived with wife Nayini Ahalya Reddy and Children Nayini Devender Reddy and Samantha Reddy.

Mohammed Mahmood Ali, the Home Minister of Telangana, K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana and other ministers of the TRS expressed concern over the demise of Mr. Narasimha Reddy.
