A 13 year old boy reportedly died after eating biryani bought from a hotel at Lakdikapul, Hyderabad. Although the incident happened a week ago, it came to light on the 19th of August, Friday.
Getting into the details, a family of four, residing in the Khairatabad area, bought biriyani from a hotel in Lakdikapul on the 13th of August. They were returning from Suryapet when they purchased the biryani for dinner. However, after eating the food, the 13 year old boy died. The man and his daughter also reportedly felt sick and were rushed to the hospital.
After the tragic incident, the family approached the Saifabad Police and registered a complaint against the hotel. The police registered a first information report (FIR) under Section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC.) As per the family, their son only had biriyani before going to sleep and the next day, he reportedly died due to food poisoning.
The police said, “The family of four — a man, his wife and two children (girl and boy) bought the biryani on their return from Suryapet. They went home and had it for dinner, after which the boy did not wake up till the next afternoon. On checking on him, they found him dead.”
Furthermore, the police said, “Samples of the biryani were taken and sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory for analysis. Based on the reports, suitable action will be taken.”
The investigation into the matter is underway.
