Speeding up the investigation in the Hyderabad Gang Rape case, the City Police arrested the second accused of the five people, on the 4th of June, Saturday.
The Hyderabad Police confirmed that the second accused is the son of a VIP. The Deputy Commissioner of Police Joel Davis addressed the media and confirmed the names of the prime accused in the gang rape case. One of the major accused is Saduddin Malik (18,) who was arrested on Friday and another one is a minor. In addition three accused includig Omair Khan (18) and two minors, whose identities were not revealed are yet to be arrested. The police identified all the five accused and ensured to arrest all the accused in the next 48 hours.
Mr. Joel Davis said, “Victim couldn’t reveal anything about culprits. She only revealed one name and special teams were immediately formed to arrest them. CCTV footage recovered. We’ve identified five culprits as per CCTV footage and as per the statement of the victim.”
Meanwhile, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Information Technology Minister of Telangana asked the Hyderabad Police and Mr. Mohammed Ali, the State Home Minister to take strict action against the culprits in the case, ensuring justice to the minor victim. Mr. K.T. Rama Rao asked not to “spare anyone involved irrespective of their statuses or affiliations.”
In addition, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, also expressed concern and ensured speedy trials and investigations in the minor gang rape case.
