Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Hyderabad, Telangana, on the 26th of May, Thursday.

In the view of Mr. Narendra Modi’s visit, the Telangana Police deployed a large police force to tighten the security in Hyderabad.  Hyderabad and Cyberabad police have made elaborate security arrangements for the PM’s visit. Security has been beefed up around Begumpet Airport and at ISB at Gachibowli which comes under the jurisdiction of the Cyberabad police commissionerate.  Notably, approximately 2,000 police personnel has been deployed on all routes around the business school.  Furthermore, the Hyderabad Police have prohibited the flying of remotely controlled drones, paragliders and remotely controlled microlight aircraft over 5 kilometre radius around the ISB, and Gachibowli Stadium from 12 noon of the 25th of May to 6:00 P.M., of the 26th of  May.

Police also announced traffic restrictions on certain routes around ISB to ensure smooth traffic flow from 11:00 A.M., to 5:00 P.M., on the 26th of May.

According to sources, Mr. Narendra Modi would be in the City for two and a half hours and would attend the 20th annual day celebrations of the Indian School of Business (ISB.)   

Mr. Narendra Modi would also participate in the graduation ceremony of the postgraduate programme Class of 2022 of the business school.  He would address the students of both Hyderabad and Mohali campuses. During the ISB visit, PM Narendra Modi would also plant a sapling, unveil a commemorative plaque and release the ISB MyStamp and Special Cover.  Besides, Mr. Narendra Modi would also award medals to academic scholars of excellence. 

Speaking of PM Narendra Modi’s schedule, he would arrive at Begumpet Airport in the city from Delhi at 1:25 P.M.,and would leave for Chennai at 3:55 P.M.  

In regard to Mr. Narendra Modi’s arrival, the concerned authority in Telangana arranged a helipad near ISB in Gachibowli.  Notably, from Begumpet Airport, Mr. Narendra Modi would arrive at IBS in a special MI-17 helicopter.   Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Telangana unit, Mr. G. Kishan Reddy, the Union Home Minister for Telangana State, Ms. Tamilisai Soundararajan, the Governor of Telangana and other leaders of the BJP in Telangana would welcome Mr. Narendra Modi.

It is to be noted, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana is likely to skip attending Mr. Narendra Modi, as he is scheduled to visit Bengaluru.  Instead of KCR, Mr. T. Srinivas Yadav, the Telangana Minister for Animal Husbandry would attend Mr. Narendra Modi with the BJP leaders and the State Governor.
