The Hyderabad Meteorological Department issued heavy to very heavy rainfall in the Telugu State of Telangana, for the next three days.

As per the weather department, very heavy rains are expected in Adilabad, Komurambhim Asifabad, Mancherial, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupapalalli, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem districts and Khammam districts.  In addition, moderate to heavy rains are predicted in Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Jangaon, Siddipet, Hyderabad, Vikarabad and Sangareddy districts on the 8th of September, Thursday.

The cause of rainfall in Telangana is due to the surface trough formed in Southeast Bay of Bengal, which continues up to 5.8 km above sea level.  It has been revealed that low pressure is also likely to form in West Central Bay of Bengal on Thursday due to the effect of the trough, causing rainfall in the two Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Meanwhile, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits are witnessing heavy to very heavy rainfall from the evening of the 7th of September.  Furthermore, the predicted rainfall in Telangana would continue till the 10th of September.

People and residents of low lying areas have been advised not to venture out unnecessarily and a vehicular movement advisory has also been issued amid rain.

Stay tuned for further updates.
