Ms. K. Kavitha, the Member of the Legislative Council of Nizamabad, is all set to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam.
According to sources, Ms. K. Kavitha, the daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, left for Delhi on the 20th of March. She would be appearing before the ED for a second time, in connection with the Delhi Liquor Scam.
On the 8th of March, the Enforcement Directorate issued a summon to Ms. K. Kavitha, a senior leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS.) The ED named Ms. K. Kavitha as one of the suspect, representing the “south central” in the controversial 2021-2022 Delhi Liquor Policy Scam.
Getting into the details, earlier also, the ED asked Ms. K. Kavitha to appear before the ED, but due to work commitments, she refused to attend the interrogation. Ms. Kavitha also filed a petition in the Supreme Court, seeking exemption from interrogation by the ED in the scam, and denied all the allegations.
Ms. K. Kavitha also maintained that she never met Mr. Manish Sisodia, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and the prime accused in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam.
Ms. K. Kavitha is likely to appear before the ED and join the investigation, shortly.
