Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, is scheduled to hold a Cabinet Meeting.
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Government called for the urgent Cabinet Meeting, to be held at the New Secretariat Complex, in Hyderabad. The meeting is likely to begin at 3:00 P.M., and would be attended by the senior BRS leaders and Cabinet Ministers. This is the first time the Cabinet is scheduled to meet at the new secretariat, after the inauguration.
Chaired by Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief of the BRS, during the meeting, the party would take crucial decisions. Of all the major discussion, celebration of the State Formation Day would be a major topic.
It is to be noted, the K. Chandrashekar Rao led BRS Government decided to celebrate the Telangana Formation Day for 21 days, starting from the 2nd of June. The celebration would mark 10 years of the State Formation, as Telangana got statehood status in 2014.
Furthermore, the Cabinet would also discuss convening the Assembly session towards the end of May to pass the two bills that were rejected by Telangana Governor Ms. Tamilsai Soundararajan and will be sent to the Governor again for assent.
The cabinet may also likely take important decisions in the run up to the Assembly elections, scheduled later in 2023.
