Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, has announced an extension metro corridor between Rayadurgam to Shamshabad.
According to the recently posted tweet, the Telangana Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) confirmed the same. The Telangana CMO said, “మైండ్ స్పేస్ జంక్షన్ వద్ద గల రాయదుర్గం మెట్రో టర్మినల్ నుంచి శంషాబాద్ అంతర్జాతీయ విమానాశ్రయానికి మెట్రో కారిడార్ ను విస్తరించాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ కె. చంద్రశేఖర్ రావు నిర్ణయించారు. అందులో భాగంగా డిసెంబర్ 9న సీఎం శంఖుస్థాపన చేయనున్నారు.”
(Chief Minister KCR has decided to extend the metro corridor from Rayadurgam Metro Terminal at Mind Space Junction to Shamshabad International Airport. As part of that, the CM will lay the foundation stone on the 9th of December.)
Besides this, the Telangana CMO also mentioned other metro projects which would be undertaken by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government. The Telangana CMO tweeted mentioned the route of the extension, via Biodiversity junction, passing through Kajaguda Road touching Nanak Ramguda Junction at the Outer Ring Road (ORR) towards the Shamshabad Airport.
Expected to complete in the next three years, the 31 km extended corridor would be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs. 6,250 crores, released by the TRS Government.
The new extension would make travel easier for metro commuters.
