While the majority of industries are back to normal following social distancing norms, the Tollywood entertainment industry is still restricted from resuming work.
Recently, famous Tollywood celebrities like Chiranjeevi, Dil Raju and Nagarjuna and others met K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, appealed to him to allow the resumption of work soon .
The meeting with KCR came a day after the Tollywood celebrities met Talasani Srinivas Yadav, the Minister of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Cinematography in Telangana.
In regard to this, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government is mulling to resume shootings and post production work from the first week of June in a phased manner.
However, the opening of cinema halls and theatres are expected to be a matter of concern for a while, as it may create chaos and public gatherings in large numbers, will spread the Covid-19 virus.
K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, on the 22nd of May, permitted indoor production works with a minimum number of people. Whereas, after drafting a standard operation procedure (SOP) from the first week of June, Tollywood industry could begin shootings and post production work, maintaining social distancing strictly.
However, a final call and official announcement with dates would be done after Talasani Srinivas Yadav would submit a draft of SOP and a set of guidelines for the film industry.
