Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, announced to facelift Yadadri, after the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government now proposes to develop ‘Narasimha Abhayaranyam’ (sanctuary) in 100 acres.

On the 30th of September, Friday, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao visited the Yadadri district.  Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao along with his family members, wife Shobha Rao and grandson Himanshu, offered special puja at the temple.  KCR’s grandson also presented a cheque for Rs. 52.48 lakh for 1 kg 16 tolas of gold to temple authorities in the presence of Endowment Minister Mr. A. Indrakaran Reddy.

After the temple visit, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao held a review meeting and discussed about the development of Yadadri district.  He proposed the idea for the Yadadri Tourism Development Authority (YTDA) to grow flowers and leaves required for the Lord’s daily worship, Kalyanam and Archana, which would be grown in the protected forest of Yadadri.

The district would also have a helipad soon, said Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, who reviewed the development of Yadadri with the ministers and officials.  Furthermore, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao also directed the officials to take necessary measures to ensure that the temple town reflects spirituality while nature blooms around the temple.

In regard to this, the State Chief Minister asked Mr. Ramakrishna Rao, the Special Chief Secretary of Telangana, to release Rs. 43 crores, immediately.  Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao said the Revenue department will hand over 2,157 acres of land to the YTDA and the YTDA officials would manage the given lands for the aforementioned purposes.  The other use of given lands would include temple needs, fire station, health needs, transportation, parking and ancillary services related to the development of the Yadadri district.

In addition, while reviewing the district, KCR expressed displeasure over the poor drainage system in the temple town.  He instructed the officials to develop a perfect drainage system to ensure that there was no water stagnation in the middle of the Ring Road and the temple.

In addition, KCR also enquired about the damage caused due to heavy rains and water stagnation around the temple during the recent heavy rains.  He suggested building 250 magnificent cottages on 250 acres, which would be divided into four parts.  He also emphasised the need for a proper auditing system and a transparent accounting system for the temple income.
