On the 25th of August, K.T. Rama Rao, the Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Minister of Telangana, conducted a review meeting over industrial development in Telangana.
During the review meeting with officials, KTR directed concerned officials to identify companies which failed to start operation on the land allocated by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government for specific purpose.
The State Government on Tuesday decided to take legal actions against the companies which failed to set up industrial units on government lands.
The State Government would also issue a show cause notices to these companies seeking explanation for their failure to begin operations.
Mr. Rao said the State Government aims to bring in major industries to the State and create employment opportunities for local youth, following which they wanted the companies to commence operations as promised to the State Government.
The officials who were directed to short list the companies which failed to fulfill the commitment of industrial operations on time, would prepare a Blue Book comprising comprehensive information pertaining to all the industries in the State. These information would include promoters’ industry, sectors and categories (such as MSME, medium and major businesses and others with all the basic information about the company.
Besides discussing these companies, KTR also launched the e-SFC platform.
The e-SFC is a digital platform of the Telangana State Finance Corporation and suggested expansion of its operations in the State.
