Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Industries, IT Minister of Telangana, on the 5th of March, Friday, inaugurated the long awaited Tukaram Railway Gate road under bridge. He was accompanied by the Deputy Speaker of Telangana Mr.Padma Rao Goud, the State Home Minister Mr. Mahmood Ali, the Animal Husbandry Minister Mr. Talasani Srinivas Yadav, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Mayor Ms. Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, the Deputy Mayor Ms. Srilatha Shobhan Reddy and the GHMC Commissioner Mr. Lokesh Kumar.
Besides the Tukaram RuB, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government has also inaugurated the proposed road drainage system, both worth Rs. 72 crore. The RuB would be 375m long with a box portion of 40m and approaches of 245m. The ramp length towards Mettuguda is 86m while the ramp towards Marredpally is 159m. The construction of the RuB comes as a great relief from frequent closure of railway crossings at Lallaguda halt station. It would also ease traffic congestion on the Malkajgiri, Marredpally, Tarnaka, Mettuguda and Lalapet-Secunderabad roads.
Notably, the TRS Government is making all the necessary construction works worth Rs. 6,000 crore under the Strategic Roads Development Programme, which would be completed soon.
During the occasion, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao said that the Telangana Government is in the forefront of providing the best facilities to the people. He said, “We have achieved fast economic development and speedy growth of all sectors.”
The Minister said, the K. Chandrashekar Rao Government would work for the growth and development of the City and the State, with all the facilities for the people.
