On the 20th of January, Netizens shared a video of a murder incident which went viral all over the social media platform.
Though the incident took place in Hyderabad, it was falsely shared as an incident of New Delhi across social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram.
According to sources, the video which went viral as an incident in Delhi was of the murder of a All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM.) The incident took place at the pillar number 246 of the PVNR Expressway, Hyderabad.
On the 10th of January, Mohammed Khaleel, 33 years old leader of the AIMIM was murdered by three people.
According to Shamshabad Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) N. Prakash Reddy, the victim, Mohammed Khaleel from MM Pahadi area, was murdered by a chef and owner of Garib Nawaz Hotel named Shaik Rasheed, 29.
Mr. Khaleel, who lends money on monthly interest, gave Rs. 15 lakh to the prime accused Rasheed. However, he failed to repay the amount as he incurred losses due to COVID-19 lockdown.
Rasheed and his two workers Mohammed Azmath, 28, and Syed Imran over financial disputes killed Mohammed Khalel.
Days after the incident, the video went viral claiming it to be a case of Karol Bagh area in Delhi.
