On the 31st of December, the Telangana Police Department gave a warm farewell to Mr. Mahender Reddy, the outgoing Director General of Police (DGP) Telangana.
The farewell event was held at RBVRR Police Academy, Hyderabad, on Saturday, the 31st of December. At the grand farewell, a parade was held at the RBVRR grounds. Senior police officials participated in the program along with other staff of the police academy. On this occasion, Mr. Mahender Reddy felt emotional on the occasion and extended gratitude to the K. Chandrashekar Rao led Telangana Government and the State Police Force for their constant support. In addition, he recalled the major achievements, reforms and initiatives undertaken by him during the 36 long years of his police career.
Mr. Mahender Reddy also hoped the new officers would take forward the Information Technology (IT) initiatives of the Telangana police to the next level.
Moreover, Mr. Anjani Kumar, the new DGP appointed for Telangana also shared his moments with the outgoing DGP and recalled his stint with Mr. Mahender Reddy.
Mr. Anjani Kumar thanked the Chief Minister of Telangana for appointing him as Telangana DGP and Head of the Police Force in Telangana and sought the cooperation of the public and police departments in ensuring peace in the State.
