A.Revanth Reddy, the newly appointed Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) is all set to take the oath of office today, the 7th of July.
In regard to the oath taking ceremony, the Telangana Indian National Congress (INC) made arrangements at the Gandhi Bhavan. The oath taking ceremony is scheduled at 1:30 P.M., today, Wednesday.
The oath taking ceremony has been arranged as per the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.) In addition, TPCC Working Presidents, Senior Vice Presidents and Committee Chairmen would attend the event.
Manikkam Tagore, in-charge of the TPCC State Affairs, Goa and Andaman Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) presidents would also attend the oath taking ceremony.
A. Revanth Reddy replaced Uttam Kumar Reddy, who was the TPCC President for a tenure of 6 years. Uttam Kumar Reddy was appointed as the TPCC President in 2015 February, after he replaced Ponnala Lakshmiah.
Speaking about the new role of the TPCC, Revanth Reddy said, “We have a huge challenge ahead. Tough battles are lined up. People have high expectations from us and we cannot afford to let them down. A government that betrays the trust of the people has to be brought down in the next elections.” He further said, “We need all the support from all sides of society who want the TRS to be defeated.”
The appointment of Mr. Revanth Reddy came at a time when Huzurabad by election is scheduled to be held soon.
