As part of his tour in Delhi, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the Telangana Chief minister Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao on the 29th of July, Friday, met Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Akhilesh Yadav at his official residence in the National Capital.

CM KCR has once again set-off speculation with regard to his national ambitions, and reported plans to turn his TRS into a BRS.

During the meeting, KCR had then talked about starting a non-BJP and non-Congress front. The Telangana Chief Minister had met several non-BJP leaders that include Yadav, in the run up to the 2019 general elections.  However, nothing came off it.

After meeting Akhilesh Yadav, KCR is likely to also meet other opposition parties as well.  It’s mostly in tune with him building an image of himself as someone who is taking on the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  KCR and his Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) have aggressively begun to take on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Centre.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who is trying to forge a non-Congress opposition alliance against the ruling BJP at the Centre, today met Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav in Delhi. Videos showed KCR greeting Mr Yadav with a shawl and a rose bouquet as he got out of his vehicle.

Samajwadi Party’s General Secretary Ram Gopal Yadav was also seen accompanying Mr Yadav as they met at KCR’s official residence. They reportedly discussed issues relating to national politics.

Earlier this month, the Telangana Chief Minister had spoken to a host of opposition leaders including Mamata Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal, MK Stalin, Tejashwi Yadav, and Sharad Pawar as well. He has also made several visits to various states and met many of these leaders several times this year.

KCR has recently been reaching out to like-minded parties to coordinate and intensify attacks on the Centre “to safeguard the democratic values”.
