On the first day of the Telangana Assembly session, three Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) Mr. T. Raja Singh, Mr. M. Raghunandan Rao and Mr. Etela Rajender, were suspended from the assembly.
On the 7th of March, Monday, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Minister Mr. Talasani Srinivas Yadav moved a motion to suspend the three MLAs from the ongoing Assembly session. It is to be noted, the three MLAs wanted to protest against the TRS Government, as they started the Assembly Budget Session, without the customary Governor’s speech by the Telangana Governor Ms. Tamilisai Soundararajan.
The decision of Mr. K.Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, to start the 2022-2023 Assembly Budget Session without the Governor’s speech.
While the BJP MLAs protested against the TRS Government, the Indian National Congress MLAs staged a walkout during the Budget session. The INC MLAs said they were protesting against the Telangana Assembly Speaker Mr. Pocharam Srinivas, who was running the House unilaterally and flouting the rules of the Assembly session.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi commenced the Telangana Budget Session 2022-2023 from the 7th of March. The duration of the Telangana Budget Session would be decided by the Business Advisory committee, which is scheduled to meet today, the 7th of March, Monday.
