Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, arrived at Yadadri, Telangana, to inspect the ongoing work of the Yadadri Thermal Plant.
On the 28th of November, Monday, Mr. K.Chandrashekar Rao reached the Yadadri Thermal Power Plant at Damarcherla. During his visit, accompanied by the Telangana Energy Minister Mr. G. Jagdish Reddy, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao inspected the ongoing construction. He reached the project site through a special chopper from Hyderabad.
Furthermore, KCR directed Mr. G. Jagdish Reddy and the concerning Energy and the Electricity Department to inspect the construction work of the thermal project in future.
After the inspection, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao is also scheduled to hold a review meeting with the concerned department and discuss the progress of the work.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Chief Minister is expected to return to Hyderabad, later in the evening of the 28th of November, Monday.
Established by the Telangana Government, the Yadadri Thermal Power Plant, under construction in a phased manner is said to be the second largest thermal plant in South India, For this purpose, the KCR led Telangana Government has released huge funding over approximately Rs. 20,000 crores.
Notably, one unit of the Yadadri Thermal Plant is expected to be completed by June 2023.
