Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, on the evening of the 27th of February, met with prominent election strategist, Mr. Prashant Kishore.
It is to be noted, in the past few days, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao is making efforts to form a third federal front, by uniting the anti Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) political parties, against the Central Government. In regard to this, KCR even spoke to Ms. Mamata Banerjee, the West Bengal Chief Minister and Mr. M.K. Stalin, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.
According to sources, during the meeting, held on Sunday evening, at the farmhouse of KCR in Erravalli, discussion over the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections were held. If sources are to be believed, the Telangana CM KCR, held rounds of meetings with the election strategist and his team, aiming to stay in power in the next State Assembly elections.
Besides State politics, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao and Mr. Prashant Kishore, also discussed the political situation in the country. The CM entrusted the responsibility to Mr. Prashant for finalizing strategies for setting up a front at national level to take on the BJP.
As per the media sources, the Prashant Kishore team has studied the State politics and given his report on the functioning of the party Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) in several constituencies. The team also gave suggestions to the Pink Party on how to take on the BJP, especially after its victory in Dubbaka, Huzurabad and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections.
Mr. Prashant Kishore is also on a three day visit to the State, during which he would visit the Gajwel constituency of the CM, traveling to places like integrated market yard, Vaikunta Dhamam, Mallannasagar R&R Colony, along with actor Prakash Raj.
Meanwhile, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao is set to visit New Delhi soon. During his visit, he would be speaking with several retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS,) Indian Public Service (IPS,) officers to chalk out a plan for the federal front before the Assembly session.
The CM had already met with the Maharashtra Chief Minister Mr. Uddhav Thackeray and the National Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar in Maharashtra.
Besides, he is scheduled to meet with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Tamil Nadu CM M.K. Stalin.
