The Telangana Medical department, on the night of the 12th of August, released a media bulletin regarding the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases.
According to the Telangana Health Department’s bulletin, 1,931 new cases with 9 new fatalities of the COVID-19 infection reported in the last 24 hours.
Of the total 1,931 cases, 21 were from Adilabad, 44 from Bhadradri, 479 from areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation ( GHMC.)
Other places include 52 from Jagtial, 59 from Jangaon, 17 from Bhuplapally, 56 from Gadwal, 39 from Kamareddy, 89 from Karimnagar, 73 from Khammam, 3 from Komarambheem Asifabad, 43 from Mahabubnagar, 34 from Mahabubabad, 45 from Mancherial, 18 from Medak, 71 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 29 from Mulugu, 53 from Nagarkurnool, 84 from Nalgonda, 16 from Narayanpet, 24 from Nirmal, 53 from Nizamabad, 64 from Peddapalli, 54 from Siricilla, 124 from Rangareddy, 86 from Sangareddy, 71 from Siddipet, 64 from Suryapet, 19 from Vikarabad, 38 from Wanaparthy, 26 from Warangal Rural, 144 from Warangal Urban and 18 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
Till the 13th of August, this is the 13th consecutive day with a spike with more than 1,000 cases.
On the morning of the 10th of August, 1,256 cases were registered in a day and on the 11th of August, the single day spike was 1,896 and on the 12th of August, the cases reported were 1,897.
On the 13th of August, with 1,931 new cases, the total reached 86,475 cases. With 11 new fatalities, the total stands at 665. In addition, with 1,780 numbers, total recovered cases reported till date are 63,074.
With these updates, Telangana has 86,475 positive cases, of which 22,736 are active cases, 63,074 are recovered/discharged cases and 665 deceased.
Out of the 22,736 patients, 15,621patients are under home isolation and 7,115 are in institutional care.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Health authorities conducted 23,303 tests till the night of the 13th of August.
Of the total 23,303 tests, COVID-19 results of 706 samples are pending.
So far, 6,89,150 samples have been tested for the Novel Coronavirus infection in Telangana.
With the everyday spike in the Novel Coronavirus cases, the recovery rate in Telangana is now 72.90 % from the previous 72.49 %.
In addition, mortality rate is 0.80% since 5th of August and growth rate to 2.70 % from the previous 2.80 %.
