On the 20th of January, Thursday, the Telugu State of Telangana, reported as many as 4,207 new Wuhan virus cases, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.)
Notably, the cases are rising everyday with a huge surge. On the 19th of January, the State registered over 3,900 cases, which increased to 4,207 the next day. In addition, Telangana recorded 2 deaths and 1,825 recoveries.
According to sources, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) reported the highest number of cases with 1,645 cases, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri with 380 cases and Rangareddy district with 336 cases. The total new cases were confirmed after conducting 1,20,215 tests, of which 10,136 results are pending.
With this, Telangana currently has 26,633 active cases of the Wuhan virus, 4,067 dead cases and 6,91,703 recovered cases with 95.75% recovery rate.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Health Department confirmed 21,327 regular beds, 20,965 oxygen beds and 11,348 ICU beds available.
In addition, a total of 71,875 people received their first dose, 2,31,672 received the second dose, and 15,022 received the precautionary dose against COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. As of now, the Telangana Health Department has 26,22,280 shots of vaccines available at cold-chain points and district vaccine stores, and 10,34,010 at the State’s stores.
