On the night of the 27th of August, the Telangana Health Department released a media bulletin and updated about the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 status.
According to the bulletin, in the past 24 hours, Telangana reported 2,923 new COVID-19 infections and 11 fatalities.
Of the total 2,923 new cases, 25 are from Adilabad, 89 from Bhadradri, 520 from areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Commission (GHMC.)

Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries in the last 24 hours are 1,580, pushing the overall tally to 87,675.
With these updates, Telangana has a total of 1,17,415 positive cases, of which 28,941are active cases, 87,675 are recovered/discharged and 799 deceased.
Out of the 28,941 active COVID-19 positive patients, as many as 22,097 patients are under home isolation across the State while 6,844 positive cases are in institutional care.
The Telangana Government for the 4th consecutive day conducted more than 50,000 COVID-19 tests.
In the past 24 hours, the Telangana medical department conducted a total of 61,863 COVID-19 tests. Of the total, reports of another 771 samples are awaited. Till date, Telangana conducted 12,04,343 tests for the Novel Coronavirus.
In addition, the recovery rate fell to 74.60 % from the previous 75.20 %. The countrywide recovery rate is at 76.33%.
