A massive fire broke out in the Telangana State Handloom Weavers Cooperative Society (TSCO) godown in the wee hours of the 12th of April, Tuesday. The godown is on the outskirts of Dharmaram village in Geesugonda Mandal, Telangana.
According to sources, no casualties were reported, but the TSCO suffered a loss of 38 crores due to damage to properties. Getting into the details, locals reported that a fire broke out in the morning, following which they immediately informed the police and fire tender. Approximately six fire tenders started dousing the fire, which is still underway.
Furthermore, the District Fire Officer Mr. Bhagwan Reddy said the fire was yet to be completely doused due to the heavy load of combustible material. However, the fire was controlled to the extent that it can’t spread to nearby godowns.
The investigation in regard to the cause of the fire has been launched and more details are awaited.
