T. Harish Rao, the Finance Minister of Telangana, is all set to present the annual budget of Telangana.
On the 18th of March, Mr. Rao would present the 2021-2022 Telangana budget during the ongoing Assembly Budget session. Legislature Affairs Minister V. Prashant Reddy would present the same budget in the Legislative Council session.
The most awaited State budget outlay was finally ready to be announced today. The discussion over the budget outlay was held on the evening of the 17th of March. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana and other Cabinet ministers attended the meeting.
According to the sources, this year the State Government is aiming to propose close to 2 lakh crores as the 2021-2022 budget for Telangana. Most of the proposed money would be allocated for the growth and development of the State and to enhance welfare schemes. If the budget goes beyond Rs. 2 lakh crores, it would be the highest proposed state budget outlay in India.
T. Harish Rao would propose the budget with a speech at 11:30 A.M., on the 18th of March.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Assembly Budget session which started on the 15th of March, is scheduled to be held till the 26th of March.
