Telangana Government Demands FIR Over Leaked PRC Report

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government on the 27th of January, demanded a first information report (FIR) regarding leaked Pay Revision Commission (PRC) report.

Recently, on the 26th of January, several websites uploaded the PRC report which was in PDF format.

The media and employees’ unions have thought the K. Chandrashekar Rao led Telangana Government has made the PRC report public.

However, the PRC report, uploaded online and available on several websites was illegally uploaded.

Over the released PRC, Ikya Vedika comprising government employees, teachers, and pensioners expresses anger on some of the recommendations mentioned in the PRC report.

To express the anger, they burnt the copies of the leaked PRC report in front of the Secretariat on the 27th of January.

Taking charge regarding the same strictly, the KCR Government directed the concerned officials to lodge a complaint with police over the leak of the PRC report.

The leaked report came two days after a meeting over the PRC report.

A three-member committee headed by Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar held a meeting at BRKR Bhavan on the 25th of January.

The meeting discussed about the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) report and agreed for the proposed discussions with various employees associations. They discussed all issues including the PRC report, time-bound promotions, trauma free service, extension of retirement age and other issues.

A schedule was also drawn for meeting with various employee associations in this regard.

The committee members Principal Secretary for Finance K Ramakrishna Rao and Principal Secretary for Irrigation Rajat Kumar, also attended the meeting. 

However, before the result of the meeting and other proceedings, the report was leaked online.
