Amid the flood situation in Telangana, the concerned irrigation officials issued a third warning for inflow at Bhadrachalam.  The warning was issued with a flood level crossing 59.40 feet in River Godavari at Bhadrachalam on Thursday, the 14th of July.

The water level is rising since the 9th of July, following which the concerned authorities already issued two warnings, leading to another warning on the 14th of July.

Mr. Puvvada Ajay Kumar, the Transport Minister of Telangana, has directed the officials to move the flooded residents to rehabilitation centers.   Around 4,500 people from 45 villages in the flooded mandals are being shifted to the rehabilitation centers.

According to government officials, the Godavari River water level would reach 60 feet within a few hours.  It is to be noted, that the Godavari at Kaleshwaram is flowing over and above its highest ever flood level, which was recorded in 1986.

Considering the current situation due to heavy rainfall, the Telangana Officials are on high alert.

Meanwhile, continuous rainfall is disturbing the regular life of people, with the directives issued by the revenue officials.

The villagers in P. Gannavaram, Allavaram, and Mamidikuduru mandals have stopped boat operations and are highly worried about the flood situation in the State.

Furthermore, in certain areas in the Konaseema district, the power supply is disrupted owing to the flood-like situation.
