On the 26th of August, the Telangana High Court heard the Criminal Revision Case Petition filed by Mr. T. Raja Singh, the suspended Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)
Notably, after being arrested twice by the Hyderabad Police over two separate issues, Mr. Raja Singh filed a bail petition to the Telangana High Court. The petition filed was aggrieved by the final orders passed by the XIV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Nampally, Hyderabad on the remand application in Crime No 261/2022 rejecting the remand application and releasing the accused MLA T Raja Singh. On Friday, a single Judge bench headed by Chief Justice of Telangana Mr. Ujjal Bhuyan reviewed the matter and directed the concerned police to issue a notice to Mr. Raja Singh.
In response to this, public prosecutor Mr. C. Prathap Reddy informed the bench that the notice would be served to the accused under section 41 A, of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC.)
The Station House Officer (SHO) of the concerned police station of Mangalhat, where Mr. T. Raja Singh has been remanded, would issue the notice.
With this, the matter has been adjourned to the 16th of September.
