In Telangana’s Hyderabad, the City Police arrested a peddler, who sells ganja and other drugs using social media platforms, Instagram.
Identified as Omar Khan, a native of the Adilabad district and an intermediate dropout who got involved in the illegal transportation of Ganja. Omar along with Jashwanth became a peddler, taking stuff from Jashwanth, a wholesale dealer.
Omar used to get the contraband from the wholesale dealer and would sell it in Hyderabad city, taking deals on Instagram.
According to sources, Omar used to sell 20 grams of ganja for Rs. 1,000.
He was arrested on the 15th of June after police raided a hotel in Nampally, where Omar was staying and had approximately 1,160 grams of Ganja. The raid was based on a tip-off received by the City Police. The cops seized ganja worth Rs. 2 lakh and arrested Omar Khan.
A case under the relevant section of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act has been registered against the peddler.
