Telangana Minister KTR Inaugurates 330 Double Bedroom Houses For Beneficiaries At Ambedkar Nagar

K.T. Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister of Telangana, handed 2BHK, (double bedroom) houses to the poor. 

On the 26th of June, Saturday, KTR inaugurated the double bedroom houses for the eligible beneficiaries in Telangana.

With this, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government started the process of handing the houses to poor/ underprivileged people of Telangana. The TRS Government launched the Dignity Housing Programme, for providing shelter to eligible beneficiaries belonging to the economically weaker section (EWS.) The State Government allocated Rs. 9,700 crore for construction of one lakh 2 BHK houses.

Of the target 1 lakh housing units, 4,000 each were being constructed in the 24 Assembly constituencies of Hyderabad.

Of those, around 330 houses were inaugurated by the State Minister K.T. Rama Rao and the Animal Husbandry and Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today.

The new 2bhk houses were constructed in PV Marg, Ambedkar Nagar by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC.) The 330 flats at the Ambedkar Nagar cost Rs. 28.05 lakh with each unit costing Rs 8.50 lakh for housing complex.

In addition to the 330 houses at P.V. Marg, the TRS Government would also inaugurate the double bedroom houses on the 28th of June, the 1st of July and the 5th of July at Potti Sriramulu Nagar, G.Y. Reddy Compound, Golla Komaraiah Colony and Sanath Nagar assembly segment respectively.

The houses inaugurated at the aforementioned areas would give shelter to a total of 784 families from the economically weaker sections (EWS.)

In regard to constructing the four housing societies of 2bhk, the K. Chandrashekar Rao led TRS Government released Rs. 58.50 crores.
