In Hyderabad, the State police is on alert after six cases of chain snatching occurred in just couple of hours.
The Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda commissioners are trying to nab the snatchers, suspected to be members of an interstate gangs from Delhi. They took a stolen motorcycle for the business and are causing trouble to the people of Hyderabad.
The alert was issued after six cases of chain snatching were reported on the 7th of January, Saturday.
According to sources, two chain snatchings were reported at Uppal and one each at Nacharam, Chikalguda, Ramgopalpet and Osmania University on Saturday morning.
After the incidents were reported, the police are maintaining a vigil at all railway stations and the Rajiv Gandhi International (RGI) Airport suspecting the gang members might attempt to escape from the city.
Special teams are making efforts to identify and nab the gang members and an investigation into the matter is underway.
