The Telangana State Police Department is set to conduct the preliminary written exam for filling the posts of constables in civil, transport, excise and other departments.
The exams would be held on the 28th of August, for which the State Police issued hall tickets today, on the 18th of August, Wednesday.
According to sources, a total of 6,61,196 candidates have applied for the exams in Telangana. Furthermore, the Police Recruitment Board have organised 1,601 examination centers in Hyderabad and surrounding areas and across the Telugu State. In addition, after the examination, the Telangana Police Recruitment Board would fill the vacant posts for 15,644 constable posts in civil and other departments, of which 63 are in transport and 614 in excise.
Mr. V.V. Srinivasa Rao, the Chairman of the Police Recruitment Board issued a statement, about the exams. He suggested the candidates to take a print of the hall ticket and paste the passport size photograph on the same, ensuring photograph used in the application and pasted in hall ticket should be the same. Mr. V.V. Srinivasa Rao further said, if there is any difficulty for candidates in downloading the hall ticket should mail or call 9393711110, 9391005006. It is to be noted, candidates could download the hall ticket for the examination from the 18th of August, till the 26th of August, 12:00 P.M.
Meanwhile, speaking of the exam, the Preliminary written test would be conducted for the respective posts on the 28th of August, from 10: A.M., to 1:00 P.M.
