Telangana Recovery Rate At 97.80 % With 10,148 Active Cases

After reporting below 500 Wuhan virus cases, Telangana again reported more than 500 single day Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases on the 12th of July. 

On the 12th of July, the Telangana Health Ministry released a media bulletin and update about the COVID-19 situation in the State. As per the media bulletin, Telangana reported 696 new cases, 6 fatalities and 858 recoveries in the past 24 hours.

The new cases were confirmed after conducting COVID-19 tests of 1.05 lakh samples, taking the cumulative total to 1.98 crores till date. Compared to the 11th of July COVID-19 data, the State reported an increase in single day cases, deaths and decrease in recovery cases.

However, it is to be noted, the State is constantly reporting below 1,000 cases, especially after the Telangana Government imposed a strict lockdown.

Even after days of end of the lockdown, the State is witnessing a fall in the COVID-19 cases under the strict surveillance of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government. The State Police and officials of the TRS Government are leaving no stone unturned to vaccinate people and control the spread of the virus. In addition, so far 1.20 crore people, received their COVID-19 vaccine doses. Of the total population 4 % people are fully vaccinated after receiving both the doses.

With this, Telangana now has 6,32,379 positive cases, of which 10,148 are active cases, 6,18,496 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,735 are deceased cases.

In Telangana, the regions of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the highest number of cases with 80 cases.

With this, the recovery rate of Telangana improved to 97.80% from the previous 97.77 % recovery rate. In addition, the fatality rate of COVID-19 remains stable at 0.58 %.

Meanwhile, compared to the previous 48 containment zones, there are 35 active containment zones in Telangana.

In addition, the Telangana Director of Health and Public Welfare G. Srinivasa, urged people to take caution and follow all the guidelines of COVID-19.
