The  State of Telangana witnessed a decline of the Coronavirus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19,) with 448 new cases.  Although the single day COVID-19 cases are below 500, the State of Telangana is the sixth in terms of Indian states, with a maximum number of COVID-19 cases.

The other top 5 Indian states with the highest number of COVID-19 cases are: Kerala, West Bengal, Maharashtra and Karnataka.

On Monday evening, the 11th of July, Telangana reported 448 new cases with 462 recoveries and 0 deaths.  The Telangana Health Department released a media bulletin and updated about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana.  The new cases were confirmed after conducting 22,601 COVID-19 tests of samples in the past 24 hours. 

With this, Telangana now has 5,166 active cases, 7,97,295. are recovered/discharged cases and 4,111 are deceased.  

According to sources, the highest number of cases have been reported from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) region, areas of Rangareddy, Warangal and Karimnagar.  The GHMC reported the highest number of COVID-19 (272) cases in the past 24 hours, followed by Rangareddy (37) and Medchal Malkajgiri with 28 cases.  

In addition, the recovery rate of Telangana improved to 98.85% and the positive COVID-19 rate is at 2.06%.
