In Telangana, 1,114 new cases of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) were reported on the 23rd of June.
Compared to the 22nd of June, Telangana on Tuesday, the 22nd of June reported 69 less COVID-19 cases. On Tuesday, the 22nd of June, the State registered 1,175 new cases, which reduced to 1,114 the next day (Wednesday.)
Besides the new Wuhan virus cases, Telangana reported 12 deaths and 11,280 recovered/discharged cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. The updated figures of the deadly Wuhan virus were confirmed through a health bulletin, released to the media updating about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana. The State Health Department releases the bulletin everyday at 8:00 P.M.
According to the health bulletin released on the 23rd of June, Telangana has 6,16,688 positive cases, of which 16,462 are active cases, 5,96,628 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,598 are deceased cases.
In Telangana, the regions of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the highest number of cases with 129 cases followed by Rangareddy (75) and Nalgonda (72.)
In addition, according to the bulletin, the Telangana Medical Department conducted 1,18,109 sample tests for COVID-19, taking the total to 1,78,88,192 till the 24th of June.
With this, Telangana has a 96.74 % recovery rate from COVID-19 with a 0.58 % fatality rate.
