Telangana Reports 1,873 New Cases Of COVID-19 With 9 Deaths

Telangana, for the 8th day reported more than 1,500 single day hike in the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases.

On the night of the 30th of August, the Telangana Health Department released a media bulletin and confirmed 1,873 new cases with 9 deaths.

Of the total 1,873 cases, 17 were from Adilabad, 51 from Bhadradri, 360 from areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) 77 from Jagtial, 34 from Jangaon and 1 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally.

Other districts where COVID-19 cases reported are: 28 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 25 from Kamareddy, 180 from Karimnagar, 103 from Khammam, 21 from Komaram Bheem Asifabad, 40 from Mahabubnagar, 54 from Mahabubabad, 48 from Mancherial, 12 from Medak, 41 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 18 from Mulugu, 36 from Nagarkurnool, 79 from Nalgonda, one from Narayanpet, four from Nirmal, 94 from Nizamabad, 29 from Peddapalli, 23 from Sircilla, 129 from Rangareddy, 37 from Sangareddy, 85 from Siddipet, 65 from Suryapet, 15 from Vikarabad, 32 from Wanaparthy, 19 from Warangal Rural, 94 from Warangal Urban and 21 Yadadri Bhongir.

With these updates, till the 31st of August, Telangana has 1,24,963 positive cases.

Of the total cases, 31,299 are positive cases, with 1,849 recoveries, 92,837 are recovered/discharged cases and 827 are deceased.

Of the total positive cases, nearly 24,216 positive patients are under home isolation while 7,083 in institutional care.

Meanwhile, the State conducted 37,791 test for the Novel Coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 13,65,582.

In addition, the recovery rate of the COVID-19 infection in Telangana is 73.30% from the previous 74%.

Due to rapid tests and new cases, the recovery rate of the State is decreasing everyday.

In the past few days, the recovery rate fell by 3 %.
