Dr. G. Srinivas Rao, the Public Health Director of Telangana, hinted at mask free days in the Telugu State, amid the decreasing number of the Wuhan virus (COVID-19.)
According to the Telangana Health Department, the Wuhan virus cases are constantly decreasing in the State, giving major relaxation to the people of Telangana, without any economic disturbance. Adding to it, Dr. G. Srinivas Rao, on the 4th of March, Friday, addressed a press conference and said, “The days when the people go out without wearing masks are nearing in the State.”
The Public Health Director further added that the people who are following the Wuhan virus norms since the pandemic broke out in 2020 would soon return to normalcy. He also assured people of being mask free without any hefty fines, as the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government imposed strict fines for not wearing face masks.
Notably, in the third wave of the Wuhan virus, the Telugu State is said to have been better with a controlled number of COVID-19 cases and people following all the norms.
While assuring that there would be no fines on people, appearing in public with no mask, he also said that there is no threat posed to the citizens in going ‘mask free’. He added that the COVID-19 cases will go down completely by this summer and “Many countries have already gone mask free which would be seen in Telangana soon.”
As of now, Telangana is reporting everyday Wuhan virus cases below 200, taking the active cases below 3,000 with 2,607 cases till date.
