Mr. A. Revanth Reddy, the President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC,) asked Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana to provide aid to the rain-affected victims.

On the 13th of July, Wednesday, Mr. A. Revanth Reddy said,  “The torrential rains have disrupted the normal life of the public.  In specific, the situation in northern Telangana districts is horrendous.  Kadem project is on the brink of danger, and the authorities concerned have already issued a RED notice.  At a time when the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy to extremely heavy rains for the next two to three days, there is a need for Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to wake up from his deep slumber.”

Taking a dig at the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, Mr. A. Revanth Reddy said, If the State Government doesn’t respond even now, there is a high probability of facing a huge disaster.  Mr. A. Revanth Reddy further asked the Telangana Chief Minister to conduct a high-level meeting and alert officials, to control the situation.

Furthermore, Mr. A. Revanth Reddy highlighted the problems which the residents of Kadep are facing.  He said people residing in low-lying regions are having a threat of collapsing houses or other structures, case of old and deteriorated houses.   Regarding this, he demanded a survey of such old buildings and take the necessary precautions, so, no one suffers and no casualties happen, especially, when the Telugu State is witnessing extreme rainfall.

Concluding his interaction with the media, Mr. A. Revanth Reddy asked the Chief Minister of Telangana to wake up and take active actions, to rescue people from the flood-like situation in the Telugu State of Telangana.
